If you enjoy walking, running or mountain biking then having the 8km track circling the lake right on your doorstep is an added bonus.
The Barn at Lake Hayes has been the backdrop for many beautiful wedding photos. If you are getting married in Queenstown this would be the perfect setting for your wedding night, (minimum stay required), wedding photos or honeymoon. A minimum stay is required to make a booking, (High season min 3 nights, Low season min 3 nights)
Although we welcome all ages, a booking can only be made by an adult over the age of 25 years. Identification may be required.
All linen and towels are provided. Our linen is premium quality.
A cleaner is provided upon your departure to attend to floors, bathrooms, bedding and surfaces. However, as a guest it is expected that the home is left reasonably clean and tidy with all dishes washed and put away and any furniture returned to its original position. Any excess cleaning over and above what is deemed reasonable will be on-charged to the guest at a rate of $35.00 plus gst per hour.
Regular servicing of the property can be arranged at an additional cost. If your stay is for 7 days or longer, we recommend at least one service during your stay.
Queenstown has a wonderful local company that specialises in providing baby equipment for travellers and they are appropriately called 'Tots on Tour'. They will deliver and set up a cot or any other equipment required prior to your arrival. You can contact them direct at www.totsontour.co.nz . There is a portacot available for use at the house.
A security bond is required to protect the owner against the potential of financial loss if the property is left excessively unclean or damaged in any way. A Credit card number will be required for security at the time of booking.
A lockbox is conveniently located on the property and the code will be provided prior to your arrival.
You may check in anytime after 2.00pm on the date of your arrival. If you wish to check in earlier, please don’t hesitate to ask as we will endeavour to accommodate this request if it is possible.
Check out time is strictly 10.00am unless prior arrangements have been made. If you would like to request a later checkout, please ask for approval upon your arrival.
All deposits are non-refundable once a booking has been confirmed. The balance of payment which is due 30 days prior to arrival is also non-refundable in lieu of the property being made unavailable for the booked dates resulting in a financial loss for the owners.
A non-refundable 25% deposit is required to confirm a booking with the balance of payment being required 30 days prior to arrival. If full payment is not received by the due date, ( 30 days prior to your arrival ) we reserve the right to cancel your booking, (please remember your deposit is non refundable). If your arrival date is within 30 days from the date the booking is made, then full payment is required. Payment of deposit or in full is seen as acceptance of our terms and conditions. We recommend that you protect your travel investment by obtaining travel insurance.
A credit card number will be taken as security at the time of Booking Confirmation.
Cleaning upon departure is provided within your booking rate. This includes mopping and vacuuming of all floors, cleaning of all bathrooms, bedding/linen and wiping of surfaces only. Each guest is responsible for ensuring the property is left reasonably tidy, dishes washed and put away and any furniture that is moved be returned to its original position. Any excess cleaning required over and above the allowance will be on-charged to the guest responsible for the booking. We base our cleaning on the number of guests booked to stay, if extra beds are used (within the number of guests booked) there is a $20 linen charge per bed.
Each booking is approved on the basis and understanding that the number of occupants that will be residing in the property is the number stipulated on the Booking Confirmation Form. If the number of occupants is found to exceed this total during the booking period, we reserve the right to request the property be vacated immediately and/or impose a surcharge.
We understand breakages do happen, however it is important all breakages no matter how minor are reported to us immediately so we can ensure they are attended to and rectified for the next guest.
Any damage or replacement costs arising from negligent behaviour or even if it is accidental is the responsibility of the guest who made the booking and will be on-charged to the credit card provided as security for the booking. Any replacements and/or repairs will be sourced and carried out by the owners at their discretion.
We kindly ask that you respect the neighbours during your stay by keeping noise levels at a reasonable level, particularly after 8.00pm. This holiday home is for private residential use only. If it is found that a large gathering, party or event is taking place within a holiday home without prior approval, we reserve the right to evict all occupants immediately and terminate the booking with all pre-paid funds being retained.
No smoking is permitted inside. You may smoke outside but we kindly ask that you ensure you dispose of any cigarette butts appropriately.
A secure lockbox is located on site. One key will be provided to your group and we ask that you return the key to the lockbox each time the property is left unoccupied. This is for the convenience of all guests and to also prevent any loss. If a key is lost, a fee of $50.00 will be charged for a replacement.
We prefer you not move any furniture during your stay to avoid damage to walls or floors. However, if items are moved then they must be returned to their original position prior to departure.
Please ensure the home is locked and secure whenever the property is unoccupied with any appliances such as heaters, ovens etc. being turned off.
We understand that pets are part of the family but unfortunately it is not appropriate for them to stay at this home.
The owners accept no responsibility or liability for any acts of omission of third parties that may prevent or disrupt a guest’s booking. The information and description supplied is believed to be accurate and are marketed in good faith. Certain features, facilities or appliances may not be available from time to time due to circumstances outside our control for which we accept no liability.
No Liability is accepted by the owner for any injury, loss or damage to a guest, any member of the guest’s party or any visitor to the holiday home arising out of or in connection with the use of the property.
As this home is privately owned, unforeseen circumstances can arise. Although it is unlikely this will happen, the owners reserve the right to cancel the booking. Any paid funds will be returned in full.
